I don't know exactly when my father has started his unique art. He has adopted a technique which is like carving sheet metal, but not quite like conventionall etching technique. What is really surprising is that he was working in such details, despite the fact that he was loosing his eye sight.

I was not able to go back home for a long time. The winter of 2003, after being 14 years of gap, I've gone back home at last. He's already accomplished a tons of work.

My father was inspired by photographs of Orchids which had taken by my mother.

My mother is a photographer. She was dedicating her every spare time to take pictures of flowers ,mainly "Orchids". She also has a big portfolio that she accumulated over the years. She is not a professional photographer but she won the highest praise from my friend, who is a professional photographer.

My mother is inspired by my father's orchid garden which is set on a terrace of their house's 2nd floor. It's not a big greenhouse, but utilizing every inches of the space by laying out a garden of orchids. Every steps they take is inspired by each other. It's nothing but showing that they are such a very devoted couple.

There is an event called "World Orchids Show", is held in Tokyo, Japan every February. Their works were awarded a quite often at the show. I'm introducing only a part of their works, but probably enough for you to feel their enthusiasm toward orchids.

They had started to work on those arts quite late, like when they were closed to be 60 years young. They spent tiny bit spots in their spare time for their wonderful creations.

I will keep updating to show much, much more of their works on this site. so please come again to check as often as possible.
